Patti DeMatteis ASDH, RDH
Patti’s distinguished career is a story about commitment to comprehensive patient care. She received her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from Western Kentucky University in 1972. After practicing for twenty-five years as a periodontal therapist, she founded Dental Hygiene Excellence (DHE) in 1997 while living in Scottsdale, Arizona. This consultancy continues today where she, as a co-owner of DHE, teaches dental teams the latest techniques of effective patient management and how to transition their practices to oral-systemic dental practices.
At the HASPC, along with the role of Patient Coordinator, Patti will attend and speak at HASPC promotional events. In the center, she will conduct team training, establish practice management protocols and continue to implement the latest oral systemic practices and heart attack and stroke prevention research.
Patti is a founding member of The American Academy for Oral Systemic Health and a Preceptor for the Bale Doneen Method for heart attack and stroke prevention. She is also a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association (ADHA), Ohio Dental Hygienist Association (ODHA) and Columbus Dental Hygienist Association (CDHA). Her passion for dentistry focuses on comprehensive patient care and helping dental colleagues enjoy their profession in the fast paced oral-systemic movement to prevention and wellness.
Patti enjoys golfing with her husband and friends, and you can often find her taking a Pilates class led by one of her two daughters or spending time with her grandkids. As an advocate for a plant-based diet, she is a proud representative of Juice Plus and opts for vegetarian meals, at least most of the time.
